desktopctl — Control interface for the desktop manager

Synopsis

desktopctl -H | -L | -P | -R | -S | -T | -V | -a | -c | -f | -h | -n

Description

desktopctl is a control interface for the desktop manager. It can trigger events and modify the behavior of the desktop manager with a command line interface, while running.

Options

The following options are available:

-H

Place icons horizontally.

-L

Rotate screen to landscape mode.

-P

Rotate screen to portrait mode.

-R

Rotate screen.

-S

Display or change settings.

-T

Toggle screen rotation.

-V

Place icons vertically.

-a

Display the applications registered.

-c

Sort the applications registered by category.

-f

Display contents of the desktop folder.

-h

Display the homescreen.

-n

Do not display icons on the desktop.
